Rey Sol Coffee, located at 22 Chestnut St, Ridgewood, NJ, is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a culinary sanctuary inspired by Colombian flavors. Customers consistently rave about the vibrant atmosphere and the artisanal quality of the food. With pastries and breads made on-site, the freshness truly shines, especially in their delightful Cambrey empanadas filled with guava and cheese, and the beloved pandebono waffle.
Morning visits can be bustling, particularly on weekends, but many find the experience well worth the wait. Aes S highlights the café's natural ambiance, featuring wooden floors and complimentary infused fruit water, perfect for those sipping on imaginative drinks like the iced matcha muddled with fresh strawberries.
Moreover, the attention to detail extends to beverage crafting; patrons praise the skill of baristas who serve beautifully crafted lattes alongside robust specialty coffees. As Cristina Ureta notes, Rey Sol is not only cherished for its coffee but also for its warmth and inviting service.
For a memorable culinary journey through Colombian coffee culture, Rey Sol Coffee is a must-visit destination that promises quality and satisfaction in every sip and bite.

I really love this Colombian Cafe! More than an average coffee shop. All of the pastries and breads are made on site. Very busy on a Sunday morning but understandably so. The vibe here is great, I love the wooden floors. Complimentary infused with real fruit water! Today I ordered iced matcha with muddled strawberries and watched the berries be muddled in front of me. A naturally sweet drink. I saw an iced mocha being made and wanted to order that and just regular coffee! Fairly priced for crafted coffee and tea specials in Ridgewood. Worth the wait - best not to come here if in a rush.

So chic Colombian Bakery and Coffee. They have a beautiful presentation, and the food is good. My favorite is their Cambrey empanadas( guava paste and cheese) and the pandebono waffle, which can be enjoyed as a great dessert or for brunch. They also have savory dishes such as sandwiches and arepa. It can get very busy. Ideally, make a reservation if you want to sit and enjoy your food and company.

I came here 2 times - one in Winter for brunch on the weekend and another in Summer for breakfast on weekdays. Here is always packed on the weekends with a limited seating time. If you want to avoid it, come at off-peak hours then you can freely enjoy your meal with no rush and noise. They offer decent choices of coffee and meals. I love their Pan De Bono :)))

Absolutely delicious! Had their specialty coffee from barista recommendation. It was excellent as was our breakfast panini and cottage cheese toast with mango. Highly recommend trying them!

Rey sol what’s a great coffee shop. It was warm and inviting which I like. The store had a pretty simple layout with tables and chairs for guests and then counter where you order from. I will say there is limited seating, although there are enough chairs and tables in there for a regular crowd. The staff was nice and helpful and the coffees were delicious. I ordered the golden milk latte and didn’t realize it only came in a small. Was a little disappointed by that, but it was delicious. The dulce latte was OK and our vanilla latte was good. We ordered the chocolate croissant, which was OK also, but as warm and tender as I hope. I’m not sure if this place takes their own goods or bring some from another place. Overall, I really liked the vibe of this place and the coffee (which we went in for) was tasty.

Twice in one day. After visiting Ridgewood this morning for a haircut, i perused the streets for a cozy place to sit, have a cup of coffee and read a book. Frustrated with the early risers, i almost ditching the scene but came across a small Columbian coffee house, bright with latin inspired music, colorful decor and a fabulous staff behind the counter. There were a few seats opened at tables but i lucked out and got the plush chair. Perfect for one. There are MANY coffee houses in Ridgewood, but this was for the Locals. Families with kids, were comfortably enjoying Sunday coffee and breakfast in this tiny place. The coffee menu is as expected, However, the coffee is strongly exceptional. Having had a horrible week, i treated myself to a Macchiato and a spinach empanada. The coffee was perfect. Not overpowered with chocolate like those of other places. Espresso was the hero. The empanada ozzed of a spinach concoction that was delectable. I was satisfied. Hours later, i was with my grown up boy. He was Jonesing for a great cup of coffee and suggested...Rey Sol Coffee in Ridgewood...how serendipitous is that?? So out we went again. He had an iced latte with the cutiest dam teddy-bear-coffee flavored-ice-cube i have ever seen, and a chicken sandwich he devoured while making yum-yum noises the entire time. I had a capaccino and a repeat spinach empanada... twice in one day. SATISFIED.
